Commissioning
Civic & Public
As Pierce County's on-call commissioning services provide, we have provided Washington State Energy Code-compliant commissioning services for two recent projects:
District Court & County City Building Tenant Improvements: This tenant improvement included the fifth and sixth floors of the Pierce County District Courthouse and 925 Building and fourth and fifth floors of the County City Building (CCB). The commissioning process started with a design review of the design drawings and was followed by installation checklists that document the installation of the equipment, including factory start-up. This documentation was collected and constituted a prerequisite to the functional testing phase. Functional testing was performed following functional test scripts that documented the operation of the installed equipment on an individual and system-wide level.
Sprinkler Recreation Center Hockey Rooms Tenant Improvements: This project involved creating hockey locker/team rooms in the south portion of the main building at the existing location of the Cedar and Birch room and five new team rooms with restrooms and showers. We provided Washington State Energy Code-compliant commissioning services for HVAC, domestic hot water, lighting controls, and controlled receptacles. We also provided commissioning specifications for the contract documents.
